Hey guys, I just got a dominion arms outlaw in the mail today, I put it together, and did a function test. The right side hammer does not seem to function, when pulled back it makes a loud clicking noise and stays back, but when the trigger is pulled it does not budge until coaxed forwards, and even then it is very weak and would not cause a pin strike.

Any one know of a solution to this? I would really prefer not having to send it back to the seller.

PS, all of you anti Chinese firearms folk can stay out of this thread, I only want constructive feedback please.

Sounds like its binding on something....over tightened screw? Bent pin? A channel that is not parallel combined with a hammer that is ground unparallel? Can you take it apart and look in and see the hammer as its worked back and forth?

If you move the hammer several times to and fro, then disassemble you should see wear marks on what ever parts are binding.

I also just noticed that I can #### the right hammer back until it makes the loud click, and simply push it forwards to the forward position without pulling the trigger...

Sounds like the mechanism inside the two hammers are fuct......

You can pull it apart to see what's up, it's not that difficult if you have a little aptitude for that type of thing.

Take pics, send back to seller... If he / she knowingly sold you a broken gun, I'd send her back.

yea thats a good idea plink. I might take the right side apart, but the left hammer seems to work. I will take pics and post them if I can get my damn SD card drive to recognize it.

I gave away my outlaw. They are so poorly made that even the cool factor didn't compensate for the lousy workmanship.

Alrighty, Update:

I took her apart expecting springs to go every which way and was delightfully surprised by how simple the internals are, I will take pics to help future folk with this problem. One of the screws holding in one if the internal parts was loose, so that the hammer would not engage with the spring mechanism properly, all seems to be well now and I will take her out for a couple of shots soon to make sure it is functional.

If your near some black powder folks that know what there doing, they would be also a help. The lock on that gun is about shy short of that of a percussion lock from a BP cap rifle.
