Outlaws

I'm loving mine! Glad I got it when I did. Had to buy it's brother the other day, the Grizzly. Since this image was taken I've put a new silicon padded pistol grip and expandable stock on the Grizzly though to make it shoot-able. Shooting the Outlaw is much easier on your hand than the Grizzly with the damn pistol grip and the full size stock that it comes with is ugly. IMO the Outlaw is awesome!

If I wanted something to take in the bush I'd take my 590A1 which can hold 9 rounds lol. If I want something smaller then my mossberg JIC that holds 5 rounds and prob weighs less then a outlaw.

I guess it all depends on what you need out of your bush gun. Not all of us can afford to get tangled in bush every 5 feet with a long rifle/shotgun. You only really need a two round capacity for a bush gun, seeing as how if you manage to get the first round off in time, you are unlikely to have time to get a second round off. But as they say, to each to their own.

I for one would love one of these, and it would make a great addition to my growing collection :D

Ive been tempted to get one of those, almost snagged that one on the EE but i need some 45ACP ammo so bought some of that instead. I have a Stoeger Coach gun now and am thinking about getting an outback like Foxer has comming.

Still For size and ammo capacity ya cant beat a Mossberg JIC, those things work great, and are good bang for the buck.

yea I too am a big fan of the mossy 500. After having one of those and shooting a remington 870, I likely wont buy a remington 870 ever. The weight difference is massive, and reliability is about the same.

Location of the safety seems to be the deal-breaker for most.

YMMV. I'm sure that I just got a lemon but my 80's vintage Mossberg 500A has failed to unlock it's bolt when firing heavy loads like slugs or buckshot since day 1. A trip to a gunsmith did not solve the problem. With light loads it functions fine.

To be fair I have never heard of another 500 doing this so it's probably just my bad luck.

I was very satisfied with the mossberg, and your story is the first I have heard of problems with one ever. Thats really unfortunate... But the Outlaw is working well?

Had it out shooting - it's great :)

Get some of those speedloader swifts for double barrels - i can load that thing so fast with those it's sick.

What is the total length of the Outlaw tip to tail?
And that Grizzly with the pistol grip looks awesome... so long as you have a strong wrist! I don't know if the RCMP would like what you've done to it though

If I recall the grizzly 4+1 is about 2 inches longer than the outlaw but has a 12.5 inch barrel where the outlaw has a 13 inch barrel

from memory thou

Seems like it should be longer - losing the action should buy you about three inches at least. Mind you, i don't own an outlaw (yet) so I can't really say for sure, but it seems like even with the half inch longer barrel it should be about 2.5 - 3 inches shorter.

Using my 'Advanced' measuring method of holding a piece of string up to the picture and judging the barrel to be 13" then moving the string from the back of the barrel to the end of the stock I estimate a total length of about 27"

A confirmation would be nice though
