Over the beach ready

Who will be laughing when my helmet stops the gas-block shrapnel of an exploded rifle? Me!

Can anybody suggest a source for a tactical oxygen-tank carrier and rebreather? Molle is a must, and the mouthpiece must be high-speed low-drag

if you thought people teased you about your last video.... PS you must have quite the disposable income if you want a re-breather :D

Mountain lakes warm up? :p

Other than all the funny replies, still not seeing any reasonable explainations why some rifle is capable while some are not.
Personally I don't believe this is only due to material. A Tavor barrel is much thinner than a HB AR, but still a HB AR is not capable of this.
The reason I am asking is I am just curious to know.

The jist of his question was which guns can you pop out of water with and start firing immediately. Probably because he saw that HK416 video on youtube... so I think you can see the reason for the silliness.

Seriously, I am sure there are tons of guns that can and tons of guns that can’t. Many will fire under water, the AR platform will not. The problem with the ar15s direct impingement design is that water in the barrel and gas tube will not compress like air thus it will fire the water into the receiver at high pressure and most likely explode. Piston designs like the HK416 and AK47 don’t have this problem and will function submerged. You would have to take an extra couple seconds to shake some water out of the ar-15 before firing.

So, really, storm any beaches lately?

More or less this; although it's not wholly recommended to fire a piston gun in that condition either since it can throw off timing of the gas system.

Simply put: air compresses, water does not.
