Over/under choices

The Jap 101 must have been designed by God himself! I had the extreme priveledge to have owned a 20 Mag and a 12 mag At the same time. I sold both and immediately tried to buy them back the story doesn't end good!

The new FN 101's are a different animal to the old Japanese ones. The receiver is a beretta-style locking pin but has an under lug. Does the 101 you are looking at have an adjustable comb? To me this is a major plus as IF the gun doesn't quite line up right you can get it squared up without breaking out the rasps.

I shoot an older version of the 101 called the Select Energy. Other than the propensity to pierce Cheddite primers in the lower barrel it has been good to me over the years. I don't know exact round count as I bought it used but definitely +25K over the 13 years it has been been breaking clays.

Feel wise all of your options are different. The cost of the gun is small compared to the cost of targets and ammo. Get what works for you. I find Brownings fit me better than Berettas fwiw so if I didn't have my Winchester I'd likely have a 725.
