Owners of premium bolt guns - Rigby, Jeffery, Holland + Holland, Westley Richards etc

Double square bridge. My other dangerous game rifles all have express sights so I wanted to scope this one. I'm thinking something like a 2.5-10x.

Do you like the Trijicon triangle on post setups at all? :)

Mines in 7x57 Mauser.

That's what I would have wanted too, although some of your older Mausers are really just as awesome as we were talking about

I'm unfamiliar with that setup.

Is that something you use?

I'm actually at a bit of a loss in what optic choice to top the Rigby with. Don't think it would feel right with a vortex haha.

Maybe a Swarovski?

I have, but never on a DG rifle! Only 30-06 and below. I've seen them on a lot of DG rifles though. Might not be as nice for shooting tight little groups as a finer crosshair, but as a fast, non-cluttered sight to hit animals? Especially big ornery ones? Think a guy could do worse! And the fiber optic illumination is totally adjustable.

Eye relief ain't exactly up to Leupold levels, mind.

I’m getting a dream gun too, a Bradshaw rotary action single shot with two barrel….[/QUOTE]

Are you for real?! Congratulations!
I was following the build of the first run of those a while back, whenever Bradshaw would post something. He is an unbelievable craftsman!

I hope it is real… my bank account sur reflect the realness of it hahaha! There was a delay on finding the 9.3 barrel but now he as it in hand and will resume work on the rifle this week!!

It is fun to order a gun built to what you want, kind of cringe at what you are spending on it, but, you earned the money, and you can't take with with you, so, you may as well get what you want and enjoy it. Quite the selection out there, even from makers you wouldn't think did, but, do offer from their custom side. I got lucky and was in a position to do it for myself, I just upped and did it, and it was well worth it.

It's definitely a fun and unique process that I've never experienced before. This rifle is also by far my most expensive firearm purchase that I've ever made, however I thought it was quite "affordable" compared to the London Best which I also ogled...briefly.

It appears that Baby Boomers are spending some of their hard earned money, me included. No more bolt actions for me, I have enought of them, I'm going for hinge, falling blocks, et al.

Never heard of these, just watched a bunch of videos. Super cool rifle, i know the price tag is too high for me to ever have on but id sure love to try shooting one before i kick it.

I would love a double side by side one day, but I would have to make a hell of a lot more money than I do now…

The British doubles are definately above my pay grade but there are some deals to be had with the German offerings, especially second hand

They're very pretty, but I fail to see the value, especially for the most basic configurations. There seems to be an enormous amount of profit based on the name for little return in value.

Most of the high cost is caused by hand labour, and not taking shortcuts.
There would certainly be a premium paid for the name, but that generally holds value better than any of the other features that make a gun worth lots of money.
