I personally like the cream formula, but I don’t think it makes much of a difference.
And although they claim on the bottle that can just apply it over grease and oil, you are still better off cleaning the metal, and more important, warm the metal up a little say to 100° or there about.

Do a search. Oxphoblue has been discussed many times on this board. There are numerous threads with application hints and tips. Degrease thoroughly and pre-heat the parts (with a heat-gun or hair-dryer) seem to be the most common advice for best results, but I will leave it to you to wade through the posts.

I like the cream for the larger pieces.......barrels. The liquid is good for receivers and smaller. Take one heavy plastic bag........pour in Oxpho........insert part........scooch around until desired colour appears.......pretty much does it
