Hello everyone,

I have a P-17 that I would like to sell or trade. It is in fair condition. It has an aftermarket sporterized hunting stock on it and it has been drilled and tapped in various spots.

I have been told some guys like to use these to do custom builds on. Any idea what a value might be.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,

I have a sporter one. It was a homemade sporter, but a tastefully done example. Most, if not close to all the original finish is gone on it, and although the bore is quite respectable there are a few pits in it here and there. Nothing major though. I bought it specifically for use as a hunting rig, and perhaps will find the time and coin to make it a little bit prettier.

I paid $200 for it and never looked back.

$200 - $250.

If properly drilled/tapped for bases.

And the sporter stock is decent [like a period Bishop or similar].

Sold this one, a good shooter, drilled & tapped for Weaver bases, in a period Bishop mfg sporter stock, a couple years back at a gunshow for ~ $250:
