P-99 Again......

From Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement (Oct 2001):

P99 - Double-action with decocker. Has 3 trigger conditions:
1. Long DA mode (uncocked, with heavy pull)
2. Long SA mode (cocked with long light pull)
3. Short SA mode (cocked with short light pull - just under 6 lbs)

P990 - Double-action only (long DAO pull - over 8 lbs)

P99QA - Walther calls it a "short-travel double-action trigger." On chambering a round, the striker remains partially cocked and the trigger returns to a forward DA position. The trigger travels one quarter inch to the rear to fully #### th estriker and the pistol then fires. Trigger pull was 7.5 lbs.

The vanilla P99 has 3 modes to its trigger.

When decocked, the pull is a long and heavy double action.
When cocked without firing (say after dropping the slide), it is a
single action with a long light pull.

When cocked after firing, it is a single action with a short light pull.
