I need to have aluminum mag bases machined up for my P-99. If you own a .40 with the original 10-rounders, you are holding on to a pistol which'll prolly blow it's magazine apart within 50 rounds.

This happened to me during a PPC course last week. Four of five mags blew apart, two sets from different manufacturing batches. It WILL happen to you if you slap the mag into the pistol when reloading. Earl of Earl's Guns says he knows of people who've died while depending on .40 P-99's. Be forewarned!

So, I just wanna know who else is interested in having aluminum bases made up for them. Obviously, the more bases ordered, the better the price.

Yers, they do. Unfortunately, having them pinned to 10 rounds by Earls and shipped will cost a fortune. Remember now, A mag cannot enter Canada if it holds more than 10 rounds. The mod needs to have been done before it enters....

my mag broke during transport to the range. i had put it in my ammo can and i no longer do that. i emailed mec-gar about getting a new base plate but they have yet to get back to me. the gun is on EE right now as is because i am funding a project. i'd be interested depending on the cost

S&W is the distributor for Walther USA. They don't even have a listing for mag bases and claim that it could take forever. They are, in all honesty, ready to take the mags back and send me four new ones.....to a USA address.
While this may be ok for some, it's not ok for me. I stake my life on this pistol. And even if I didn't, I could not ever sell this pistol to soemone without warning him of the certain danger of the mag(s) blowing apart, and this while firing....

Was at the range today and a ####ing mag blew apart on me too! Yup base plate broken where it slides onto the metal part of the mag. I know the other one will do it soon too, i stopped before it did. I want some how much!
