I need some help gentlemen. I have a chance of picking up a very good to excellent P.Beretta S686 Special manufactured in 1987 according to the stampings on it. It has a white receiver with scroll on it, the 28" barrels are dull black, the bbl is equipped with a wide rib with a red front sight and a mid bead and also comes with choke tube wrench and 6 choke tubes. The only fly in the ointment is that somebody shortened the stock by about 2". What would be the fair value of this O/U shotgun. I have Googled it and I can't find any information on it except follow on models ie Onyx and silver pidgeon etc. Thanks for any info.

I have one in 20 gauge and would agree with gttsc, $900 would be the most I would be willing to pay.
