P&D Enterprises

I heard a P&D radio commercial on cisn fm a couple times. I had NEVER heard a gun store commercial on the radio before. I almost cried.

We have had a radio commercial in the past and decided to use this form of advertizing for our Bushnell Days (last weekend). The response was good as we saw customers that have never been in before. We will probably use radio again. Were tired of hiding from the general public as we are not ashamed to say we sell guns. Phil.

Thats the secret to getting acceptance from the general public. Is not to act like theres anything wrong with guns. Well done.

Are you refering to P&D or some other business. If it is our store then I'm sorry you felt you were treated bad and if so you have my apology as that is not our regular level of customer service. Call me drect if you ever have any problem with our business. Phil.

Don't hold your breath, Phil - especially when you take personal interest in any unsatisfied customers.:)

We've heard your commercial on the radio out here in Labrador on Kissin' 104 FM.

BTW I've bought Bushy lower and had great service.

Regards,

I was referring to your store, and let me say this Phil, i've met you and Dianne and i think you're both wonderful people..and i wouldn't hesistate to recommend anyone go to your store, however, when i call and ask valid questions to your staff..and i should've gotten his name that's my bad..then i expect to be answered properly..not in a smug, dismissive manner..i have bought from your store: Remington 700 Police, Leupold Mk4 8.5-25, CZ 858, Springfield XD 40, Steven 200 25-06, Savage Model 10 FP...all within a year...a fair amount of money i think..and you have been great with service...maybe it was just because it was a phone call and straight shooter is right..why should you waste your time on me, maybe you shouldn't. I just remember sitting in the truck with my buddy telling him how wonderful your store was and then encountering that individual and the way he talked to me i'm through. That's my personal decision and no worries, maybe i'm too proud or have soft skin, i'm sure others will chime in. I don't care..i have my pride and will not let somebody talk to me like that. Period...end of my rant it will never be typed from me again.

The first time I went there, I had to call for directions...something about "turn left at the end of the line....." didn't sound right and I didn't go out of my way to clarify it.

I called 3 times that day, partially because I'm a ####ty navigator and partially because Edmonton roads are confusing as hell, until you figure out what's going on, than their easy - sometimes.

All 3 times were very cordial.

watsknew,

I wasn't suggesting that Phil shouldn't look after you, as I'm sure he will. What I meant was he shouldn't hold his breath waiting for other angry customers to call as well. Nobody's perfect and I'm sure P&D get disgruntled customers once in a while, despite their best efforts. Phil and Diane are serious about customer service and their employees work hard at it, too.

Hard to say what happened in your case. Not to make excuses, but is it possible the employee didn't mean it the way it came across?

P & D Enterprises

They are knowledgeable, and give great service. I have purchased both f/a and ammo......very satisfied.

I've bought the following from P&D (in no particular order):

Ruger 10/22 with Tasco 3-9x package;
Tikka T-3 Lite in .300 WSM (and the Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40AO on top of it);
HK USP Compact in .45 ACP;
Ruger P345 in .45 ACP (for the girlfriend);
Hi-Standard Field King c/w hand-tooled leather holster (estate sale, collecting);
Ruger Super Blackhawk Stainless Hunter 7-1/2" bbl in .44 Rem Mag;
Beretta 96D c/w Trijicon 3-dot sights, .40 S&W;
Mossberg 590 c/w pistol grip and breaching standoff bbl,12 Ga.;
Bushmaster XM15E2S in 5.56x45mm;
Para-Ordnance P14.45 Ltd 2-tone, .45 ACP;
and every round of ammunition that's gone through these firearms since their purchase, with the exception of some handloads in .45 ACP.

Yeah, there's a reason I keep coming back.

When are you moving to Calgary ;)

Doc M thanx for the support over the years as repeat business tells us were doing something right. Phil.

My pleasure, Phil - it's my pleasure to give the business to a store who obviously appreciates it. Chris, Chris, and Ryan at the restricted counter, George in various and sundry gunsmithing applications, Diane and Joanne at the front... it feels like home when I walk in. And, naturally, Mulder (for those reading this who don't know, Mulder's the shop dog).

It's the only shop I've ever been to where I WANTED to learn the staff's names.

Believe me, I'll be back for as long as I live here. And even afterwards, there's always mail order!

I remember I called because I didnt have the adress to milarm, but all i had was P&D's number in my cell.

Didnt mind giving me their adress at all:)

Well I just had my first experience with P & D this week. I ordered a pistol on Tuesday afternoon and it arrived at my door Thursday. Wow, that's pretty quick service with a restricted transfer in less than two days. I would order from them again without hesitation.

Wow...one off hand comment that may or may not have been received as it was intended and you are never going to deal with us again! Like I've said I'm sorry you felt slighted but there is not much I can do now other than what I have said previous. As noted by other dealers on this site, there are many hundreds of contacts a day by our staff with customers and I hope all of them are positive but not everyone is going to come away satisfied. The only way we can deal with problems is if you contact Dianne or myself. Phil.

Was probably Scott that had that smug dismissive attitude.. Ive had him talk to me that way as well. Water off a ducks back IMO as i can hand it right back to him.

i'm not getting into it..i've said what i said...and obviously i'm not alone in this feeling. ATR gets my business from now on. I still recommend people to your store as i have had nothing but good experiences while shopping there in person but i have decided not to shop there because i was talked to like i was a village idiot even though i spent thousands of dollars in your shop...a point that your phone staff should bear in mind when answering the phone each and every time. ok i am seriously done..i appreciate the apology and you're right there is nothing else you can do..it's all good.

For what its worth I pm'd Phil on the 19th about a Ruger KP345PR he had in the restricted for sale section on his site as well as looking for a price on 1000 rounds of .38 special and never received a response back. Maybe he doesnt come on often and YES I could phone them but this works better for me. If I was selling stuff on the net I would atleast have someone checking my email etc daily if I wasnt going to do it in person. Money is money and I will spend it where people respond to me in a timely manner. Just my 2 cents.
