Well I was pleasantly surprised to see the new hunting bullets from Berger in the nice Orange boxes at the store today. I was interested in the 115gr 257 cal, I think they were $58.00 per 100, heck of a lot cheaper than Barnes. FS

although I feel Berger is a good bullet (especially for accuracy), they are in no way comparable to a TSX for hunting :) I just loaded up some 6.5mm 120 Bergers in my 260 tonight to do some plinking tomorrow out to 750 yards. I will save my Barnes TSX for a bit of shooting before the fall, and hunting season

The change came at the beginning of this year, so if you purchase them before January 09 then you are correct. As of January there is a difference in jacket thickness between target and hunting bullets and different stock numbers.

Did someone ask you?:p

If you are looking for Bergers, maybe I can help.

Might save you a few dollars too.

The new Berger hunting bullet IS a thin jacketed bullet. From what I have seen in promos from Berger and others, think old gen Nosler Ballistic tips. A very fragile bullet design to expand and fragment IN the animal. I am sure you will get exit wounds but that doesn't seem to have been the design goal.

Although I have not tried it, I bet the reg match bullets will offer more traditional expansion characteristics like an SST or other SP. There is nothing to back up this statement except my SWAG.
