P & D

i'll have to check it out next time i'm out that way. so far i've been in three shops in van, two were great, answered all my stupid questions, but one couldn't be bothered to ask if i needed anything. they had good deals, but i'll spend my money at the other two...i hate sh**ty service.

Yes I agree with you all. I buy a wack of stuff from them when they come to the Kamloops Gunshow.Great people to do business with.

This is definitely a love-in. I'm a fan, too. Haven't seen a negative comment on this thread, yet - and that speaks volumes. I'm sure they have their difficult customers like anybody would, but they impress more people than any other shop I know.

Other places I like are TNT Firearms in Regina and Italian Sporting in Vancouver.

I too love P&D, one of the best gun stores in Canada, hands down. Their prices may be a bit higher then others but their customer service is priceless.

They are also one of the few places left that will shake your hand and thank you for your business.

P&D is always a first stop on my annual trip to Edmonton. Only one time did they not have the powder I wanted and I was bowled over by the apologies from staff and suggestions of where I might find it. It's a first rate business they have going there.

Here's one. They suck only because they don't have a store in Calgary.

Having said that, I am going to Edmonchuck next month for work and the only thing I really care about is my planned shopping trip to P&D.

Well I have to disagree, STRONGLY. I bought a Mosquito from them and the day it arrived I field stripped it and lubed it before I took it to the range. It was at this point I noticed there was a problem with the firing pin. It was broken.:( There were also marks on the breach face which said to me it had been dry fired.

I called them and explained the problem and they said I would have to deal with FN in Montreal to get it fixed. I shuttered. I asked if they could just replace it from inventory and they said it was too much paper work. Screw the customer so they don't to have do some paper work? They didn't want to deal with it at all. My problem, not theirs. They made that very clear. Its been at FN for 4 MONTHS:mad:

So, my attitude is screw them. My club is 1200 members strong and I made damn sure everybody in the club new what to expect from P&D.

My local gun shop heard of my problem and they took it upon themselves to call FN to see if they could expedite the return of my pistol as they buy alot from FN so they have some clout. They are even trying to get the firing pin from a third party and they would fix it themselves. Now thats what I call customer service.:) :) :) I was in their shop on Friday to buy some ammo and they called FN on the spot to get an update for me on my pistol. Unbeleivable service. They probably would have stripped one of their own pistols for a firing pin if they had on in stock. These people care about their customers unlike P&D.

Thats my experience with P&D.

chris always somehow takes my money... i try not to go there too much (yeah right), as i always, and i mean ALWAYS walk out with something new from there....

all my guns are bought there.... all 8, i think that's saying something
