Can I ask here if those with experience with P&S can give advise for ordering. I noted the listing said VG....did not mention if matched or not. They say VG means no pitting in barrel...etc. Can I rely on this? I don't see a return policy...what is your experience? Just getting close to jumping in.

his discriptions are usually less then what they actually are if you ask he will supply any info and extra pics

Ive been 100% happy with all my stuff from him

I've bought 2 or 3 rifles from Jean at P&S and had no issues. He's a good guy to deal with, and he can often be found on these very forums offering up tidbits of information.

Jean answers all e-mail within a day or two - why not write him with all your specific questions? From experience he will answer them honestly and reliably.

I've got a few bayo's from P&S .
Each order , I'd send off an email and he got back to me within a day .
Jean keeps on top of things pretty well .

I just bought a RC K98k "Very Good" from Jean. He was very helpful and sent me a rifle with a nice bright bore, no pitting. The wood is a little dented in places but nothing that shouldn't come out with steam.

Here's some photos - judge for yourself. The only thing I've done to the rifle is disassemble and clean the bolt ultrasonically. I'm going to attempt a complete restoration soon. ERMA 1941 production.

Nice, unpinged Eagles on this one too.

Hey, now that's what I expect from the members of this site. Good old honest opinions. Thanks to all. I did sent Jean an e-mail last evening. Happy to hear that all are A O.K. with his rifles. I had a very bad experience with an Ontario dealer (Not P&S) who sent me a rifle which wasn't even close to what he described. I need to regain my trust as the P & S site has some nice items. Dave

I have a business trip to Sherbrooke next month. I hope to pop by Jean's store if I can get away from the people I am traveling with. (not gun types, for sure)

I bought a $1650 Antique Revolver Of Jean.
He was great to deal with and i even talked to him on the phone hes very easy to talk to if ya have any Questions.
He went out of his way to get me a accurate bore discription!
I will buy from him again.

Have dealt with Jean a number of times - and confirm that you couldn't hope for a more upstanding fellow to transact business with ... :D

My most recent acquisition from him (just received a few days ago) is a full-military 1910 Ross rifle I just posted another thread about:
http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136862

This rifle is so "unmessed-with" that it doesn't even have the pinned bolt! Exactly what I was looking for. (Yes, I have studied the correct assembly/disassembly methods ... valu my noggin too much to do otherwise ...)

As one example of Jean's character, the only problem I noted with this Ross upon receiving it is that one of the seven bolthead lugs is sheared off ... I contacted Jean, and he confirmed (as I had fully expected) that he had failed to notice that and will "make it right. (He is searching out an undamaged bolthead to send to me and has indicated that he will pick up a bubba'd 1910 Ross, if necessary, to get a bolthead ... though I have indicated I'm willing to wait a while in the hope that won't be necessary ...)
