P1/ P38 9mm

Of the new surplus 1974 year Germany army Police pistols being offered FS priced 299 with holster and spare mag which is the better buy. Plan on shooting the hell out of it so worried about how long they can last..heard of cracked frames??? Like to find a Norinco 1911A1 9mm but none FS.

I just rebuilt a P-38 with a cracked aluminum frame. Picked up a stripped aluminum frame for real cheap.

As a service pistol, the P1 and P-38 are more than adequate. If you intend to shoot the hell out of it, get a P-38 with the steel frame. It is a bit heavier but will take more abuse that the lighter aluminum frames.

If you can't find one, then at least get the P-1 with the modified frame with the steel reenforcing pin installed.
