One reason to buy a book. You don't get "stung' by some smooth operator saying "this is a rare model" instead of the usual BUBBA job.
Oh by the way, I have books on all the rifles mentioned, and a lot more.
While I already have Skennerton's first two editions on the Lee-enfield I have already put my money down on the third.
If you are going to collect anything, FIRST buy a book on the subject. It will save you money in the long run.;)

:D yes the special forces accorn bolt handle Model 17 only a few ever made :D issued to the forestry corp special sneeky troup snipers, so they could hide in trees :D

So H Wally are you saying that you are selling any of these?

Well, it had been in mind, but I haven't really heard much from the cgn communities on their worth. I've gotten opinions locally, but I'm going to get more before I decide on it. I could probably be persuaded to part with something if someone offered the non restricted cz + extras from wolverine that I've been druling over though.;)
In short, I'm growing attached to them... I shouldn't have taken them out shooting... too much fun! Although, as they say, everything has its price.

This is solid gold, I'd take the time to trademark it :dancingbanana:.

Example that happened to me
Dealer selling a bubba'd No4 with the charger bridge milled off and no rear sight.
"This is a special model for the British navy. They didn't like the rear sight mounted on the reciever instead of the barrel.:puke:

On the other hand, buying a book will sometimes let you pick up a rare rifle when the seller doesn't know what he has.;)
