P14- Question for those who Know

Have a Eddystone P14 serial number indicates 1915/1916 that I am, looking at selling. Just noticed although all matching the numbers under the bolt handle are engraved, vice stamped. Odd, anyone seen this?
 
There are a few reasons this could have happened. One it may have been a replacement bolt by either the military or someone else after it was sold as surplus and they lost the original bolt.

Why do people keep insisting on storing their bolts separately from the rifles?????

x2. I don't know how many times I have been offered bolt action rifles for sale with the comment, "I'll sell her cheap, the bolt got lost somewheres."
