P2000 at P&D

Same. I don't want to get the barrel threaded myself. I want a P30L... damn, when are these pistols coming here?? :(

The P2000 feels great in my hands. I think it looks great with the extended barrel. The P30 is a different gun in terms of ergonomics. I would probably pounce on one of these P2000's.

Also, these are FACTORY barrels which are very hard to get. HK obviously did a special run, so if you consider how people like buying Glock 19's w/ aftermarket barrels I would suggest that a P2000 with a factory barrel is a much cooler option.

I am restricting my purchases this year. I would get one of the P2000's with the longer HK barrel if I did not have my sights and money set on the P30L. Hopefully, the information I have recieved is accurate, and perhaps we may be seeing them within' the next few months.

I put some rounds thru a P2000 9mm at TSE a few days ago. It shoots well, but the grip is a bit too small for my hands, otherwise it's a really nice gun. It does come with different grip options, but I never had the chance to swap out the grips. The decock button is in an odd place, beside the hammer, at the back of the slide, but you can adapt to that. The only drawback I can see is the price, compared to something like the Sig Pro, which is a similar gun for about $250.00 less. But, it is an HK ;).

Yeah, that's a valid point, they are factory. But if only they were factory threaded!

Variant 3 I would assume. Not LEM. Some must be LEM, others are Variant # 3.

I'm pretty sure the variant 1 with lem doesnt have a decocking button, but i could be wrong

Variant 1 is double action/single action, with lever up for safety, down for decocking. ON an LEM equipped HK, the LEM (Law Enforcement Module), the trigger is a DAO....Double Action Only,....but not the traditional DAO,...this LEM's first trigger pull is long and at a fixed weight (ie: like 7lbs), after the trigger has been pressed, and the shot goes,...action cycles...etc....the trigger can then either be let out to the original distance when at rest,...OR,...let out enough to reset *(at around a SA length), and then the trigger can be pressed again. NOTE**** the trigger pull weight should be the same...

If the P2000 has a lever at the back next to the hammer,..in the frame, it is most likely a variant # 3,...lever only serves one function,..to decock from SA to DA.....my HK USP has the variant # 4,....which is identical to variant 3, except the lever is on the right side of the pistol. The lever got in my way as i am right handed, and my thumbs rested on the left side of the pistol, so I placed it on the other side,..out of my thumbs way.

A P2000 variant #3 is very similiar in function to a Variant 3 or 4 USP, except they have moved the lever to the rear of the frame, instead of the side.

The P2000 Variant numbers are not the same as the HK USP.

Variant 1: LEM 5.5lbs
Variant 2: LEM 8lbs
Variant 3: DA/SA with decocker.

The trigger pull on LEM is same weight when you get to 'set point', travel distance on takeup is longer on first shot and controllable on following based on whether or not you allow it to go forward all the way.

good to know, I forgot about 1 and 2 variants for the LEM; basically a weight change for the trigger pull.
