p210 legend?

Sig p210

I've ordered mine from http://lanzshootingsupplies.com. Lantz is a contributing member on this forum.

If you guys and girls buy a few dozen more of these pistols through him, maybe I'll get mine faster. :dancingbanana:

Hi guys havent bloged in a long while, I got my legends a couple months ago and am quite pleased, test target was an 1" at 25metres, so alot for me to live up too!!

I would say in fit and finnish is as good as if not the best fitted semi I have ever shot or owned, I can keep everthing in the 9 and 10 ring shooting bulseye at 25 yards, still havent shot it at 50 yards yet, but I must say the adition of targets sight is a must as the stock combat sigts would not adjust very easily( one of the down falls I found) but the PPC/Target sight set is very unique in letting you set three differrent sight elevation with simply moving a horizontal pin to desired position.

The grips fit my very small hands very well and are functional as well as asteticly pleasing. The finnish on the gun cannot be appreciated in any photo I have seen before I recieved my Sig 210, it has a shine sort of like winchesters blackening on the early 1900 firearms, such as the Winchester model 52's, just beautiful!

I have owned Target grade Walthers, High Standards and Smith and Wesson semi auto bulseye guns, and far as I am concerned the trigger on the 210 equals these excellent firearms or excedes them! I am very impressed and will keep this as my centre fire bullseye gun as well might use it for CDP if I can find a holster or holster maker that can fit this gun well.

In the end I was very happy with my purchase, and glad the extra mags can be had for under $100 bucks, unlike the original! It will be keeping my S&W Registered Magnum company till they pass on to my nephew.
cheers Dale Z!

Are the new manufactured one equal to the older one? I have to ask, cause we all know it ain't the case most of the time... Sure is a pretty sight

They are handled in Canada by :

I will give this company a try after I get my P210 and decide what I'm going to do holster wise.

I just checked. Kramer does have a model for the P210. The wait time for Milt Sparks is something I could never handle. If you are like the VAST majority of Canadian handgun owners, having a holster is a nice but somewhat useless thing. I'll rig my CR Speed for IPSC use.

Guys who is "Kramer"? Not familiar with this holster maker, any feed back on materials he uses and quality would be appreciated.

When you fellas say there is no real need for a holster in Canada, I understand, but I would not just buy a rifle or shotgun without a case, I am funny like that, haha! Is the wait for a Milt Sparks worth it though?
cheers Dale Z!

PS will the SIg 210 Legend with target sights fit these holster?

Kramer is a fairly big holster manufacturer in the US. They are fairly well known and sell holsters in the range of $120/160 so the quality should be good.

As far as fit is concerned, I'm going to wait until I get the P210 before I order a holster. I will likely do this when I'm in the US for the winter.

Before you buy, you should give thought to the type of shooting you will want to do. A holster is unnecessary if you plan to shoot Bullseye but necessary for the action games like IPSC and IDPA. A competition holster is designed to work well for the games but would be unsuitable for carry if you ever see yourself being able to do so. Carry holsters would be at a disadvantage in competitions.

Depending on what and how many guns you have, you might want to consider a universal CR Speed rig as this holster can be configured for several guns. I can use mine for a SIG 226, my SIG X-five and my 1911 Commander.

Greg Kramer - Google is your friend. One of the first makers to use horsehide as a mainstay in his line. Awesome product - I got one of his Vertical Scabbards in horsehide overllaid with sharkskin that was supposed to be for a G19 but turned out to be for a P229. I gave it to a good buddy who is a firearms trainer and he's used it extensively for better than 10 years. It still looks pretty much unused...

That's one of the models that are available for the P210. Another model is similar but in an FBI tilt. I have two similar forward tilt holsters for other guns. They can be very good concealed options.

Guys thanks for the feed back, but after looking up Kramer, did not really care for the styles offered, so I found a rig that would work well for CDP from Elpaso Saddlery, there Patton #5 rig, I emailed about building a lined holter for my target sighted SigP210 Legend, so just waiting to see if it can be done, if not I have a fellow who can make the patern here in my own town, though he does not due any lined holsters, wich is really what I perfer to save the finish on the gun.

Did anyone here in Canada get a factory Targeted SIg P210 Legend yet? It has lower profiled sights like most 1911's, but I sure don't like the profile on thge rear of the slide. And has anyone here rumors of a 22 conversion yet?, cheers Dale Z!

El Paso Holster

I just took a look at the holster you are considering. I note that the trigger isn't fully covered which would disqualify its use in IPSC and maybe IDPA. I wouldn't use that design on any SA gun even with the strap. Also the strap is just one more thing to think about on the draw. I have enough trouble just remembering to flick off the safety on my 1911.

Just get a standard Swiss military P210 from Trade Ex. That's what I did.

I cannot even describe what a pleasure this pistol is to shoot and own. The trigger is a delight and the quality of this pistol cannot be beaten.

Comparing a S&W 952 to this pistol is like comparing a three legged mule to a thoroughbred race horse.

I installed walnut grips on my P210. But I was careful to keep the originals. My pistol was made in 1952.

I DO NOT SEE ANYONE OFFERING THE sWISS 210'S FOR SALE, ARE THEY ALL GONE?

My guess is that the early supply will fill special orders. It will be special order with most retailers and I think that the distributors won't inventory many because of the cost.
