If it's the same, maybe I should just consider the conversion kit, since I just bought a P226. The conversion kit does not need to be registered, correct? I was thinking about buying a totally different brand, but since the 9mm P226 will be something I want to improve on, I think it's a good idea to fire .22lr with same receiver.
I read that the slide does not lock after last round fired. Logically, I think it would so that's a mystery to me. That would mean I'll need to put a snap cap in the last round. No way I'm going to remember all the time.
UPDATE: It sounds like the P226 Classic frame is exactly the same as regular P226 9mm except that the Classic barrel slide upgrades don't fit on regular P226. I don't get b/c the Classic is like getting .22lr kit for free! Why would first time handgun buyers go for the regular Sig P226 9mm? I just did, maybe I shouldn't have. LOL!
TIA!
