P226 DA Trigger Weight Modification

Oh wasn't aware of that. I was considering the SRT for my German P226, how can I check to see if it's compatible?

Short Reset Trigger is compatible with the German made P226. I installed one in mine. It makes for very quick follow up shots but does not reduce the double action pull weight.
I wonder if maybe an X5 mainspring would be compatible ?

I went down to a 17lb hammer spring. DA and SA seemed to have been reduced a little. I got a few light primer strikes with the 17lb spring on CCI primers and just changed it over to an 18lb. Hopefully that solves the light primer strikes.

At the range yesterday, I could get off 20 rds of single weak hand DA shots and I was done, so yeah I need to strengthen my grip. My hands are medium sized and even with the highest grip I can manage I still get significant muzzle flip which makes those double taps challenging. Too many Mike shots at range and not enough double Alphas.

I bought a Spyderco set off amazon that came in a leather pouch. I also use Flitz metal polish with a Q-tip. Just make sure to clean off all residue when finished. I also use TW25 grease on all sliding parts. All this adds up real nice.

Another thing, if you don't have huge hands like myself, I found Hogue G10 grips slim enough that it improved my grip to reach for the DA pull better.

If you go the "polishing" route just be very careful with what areas you are polishing and material you are removing. On my last armorers course the instructor had come up through the ranks at Sig ending up doing their "master work". He had lots of stories about pistols they had received back at the factory after people had been too enthusiastic with polishing. He explained the intricacies of the hammer to sear geometries and how a polish job can go disastrously wrong.
