P226 Slide Rattle

I recently acquired a used P226. To my surprise there is a bit of play between the slide and the frame and slide rattles a bit.I have another P226 (Extreme version) but there is very little play and no rattle.

Anyone else had such issues with their P226. Is this normal?

It's normal. Just means you can abuse it more.

I've got a P226 from 1984 with a little slack, and I just grease the rails. Never had an issue after replacing old parts.

I've owned a lot of different P226's. Some rattle, most don't. All shoot well. Nothing to worry about.

Normal, grease those rails though.
