P226 vs CZ75

As for the CZ I haven't found anyone who doesn't like the feel of it. Try them each out if you can.

CZ75's grip was too small for me. Felt like a 1911's grip, too thin. Sig's just fit me perfectly and thus, they feel better = I shoot better. I've yet to find a pistol with better ergonomics. I like both the base grip panels and the E2, both work perfectly for me.

Fit and personal preference will be different for everyone. There is no right answer here.

I had this exact same decision to make last year. My buddy has a 226 - the SEAL varient. I shot it. Not bad at all, but I strongly prefer safeties to decockers. Ordered a CZ75 SP-01 Shadow - love it.

Do the grips alone make that big of a difference or is the ``short`` trigger required as well..............................now I`m curious :)
I've got a P226 with regular grips and trigger and I have no issues with it being too big, and I've got small hands (just checked and I can span about 21 cm on a ruler I had here at my desk). I had a P226 with E2 grip and Short Trigger and it felt too small.

I have pretty average sized hands as well, and other than for a double action pull shooting single handed, I preferred the regular size grips too. E2s were not optimal with my double handed grip.

I also didn't like how the E2 grips tend to force your hand lower on the grip--have a look at this screenshot from the E2 PDF:

Yes that is exactly it. With my preferred hold, I find there is too much space between my palm and the back of the grip. I have to adjust with a lower grip which doesn't work as well.

Beretta 92 and Sig 226 just fit me like a glove... wonder where all these guys come from with tiny hands? I have a hard time finding XL gloves at work when I have to get into something dirty.

I don't find much ergonomic difference in hold between the baseplate grip and E2... both are very good, E2 is a little slimmer.

I have both the sig226 enhanced elite with the SRT and E2 grips and the CZ-75 SP-01 Shadow. Both fit me about the same but the p226 is more "comfortable" to hold but I'm more accurate and have faster follow-ups with the CZ. New shooters I've taken to the range find they are more accurate with the CZ. Height over bore differences and weight are probably the biggest contributors to this. I love my 226 and will be keeping it but for competitions I'll be shooting the Shadow. Both are fine guns but for the money, I'd recommend starting with the CZ.

I have both. I used the Cz shadow when I returned to IPSC. Great gun flawless . My P226 is great but to muddy the waters my new Sig P320 is a super gun.
