P228 vs P229 grips?

Just aquired a SIG M11-A1 and the grips on it are for a p228. Is there a size difference between them and the p229? I'm looking at putting the E2 P229 grip on it if possible. Thanks to anyone that has experience.

E2 grips need a different hammer strut and spring.
The M11 may already have it.
Do you have a picture with the grips off?

M11-a1 is identical to the P229. Any P229 grip is good to go on your gun, including the E² grip.

Yep changed my M11-A1 over to E2 grips no problems at all.
