I hate it when you walk into a store and look at something and know you have to have it... I managed to tell myself no for the first 24 hours. Than had to go buy it! :rolleyes:

I just keep telling myself I'm helping support the economy!

Congrats on the purchase! Having owned a 229 myself in the past, I love shooting this pistol so much that currently looking into buying another one perhaps in Elite model as well. I do have a contender, which is a Kimber Warrior I managed to dig up at a local gun shop..decisions decisions.:redface:
 
hot gun you got there, good job! don't sell it, you WILL regret it.

i had a sig blackwater in 9mm, i sold it and now i so regret it. i would buy it back.
 
Sweet. I love the wood grips. I was at Wolverine a few weeks back and got to fondle one. On my want list for sure. What calibre is it?

I really wanted a 40cal, but beggers can't be choosers!

I had a P226 that I sold a while ago and kicked myself ever since.
Never again!

I picked it up a International shooting supplies in Surrey BC. They actually have a P226
Equinox in 40cal... I almost brought out the Plastic.... I'm such a Sig whore

I am working here in Aus, and I am missing my P229 badly. Yours looks spectacular with the wood grips! I might have get a set for my pistola. Can't wait to get home a put a few rounds downrange.

Oh well, the weather is better here.

Grand total out the door after big brother bent me over and took his 12% was just shy of $1500.

I agree the wood grips look GREAT but they do make the gun feel pretty bulky around the grip. I've ordered a set of oem black plastic ones to go with it. I'm tempted to order the black aluminum ones that come on the "dark elite"
