P229 in a P226 holster?

Hey all,

Ive been trying to get in contact with GFS about a holster for a p229 legion I am interested in with an Olight Baldur pro. They seem to have a few options for sigs on their site, but have no options for the p229. Ive tried to contact them through various means with no response. Does anyone know if a 229 would fit in a 226 kydex holster? Would the weapon light hamper that fit? Trying to find out this answer is the only thing preventing me from buying the pistol in the first place

It'll fit, just make sure that you're buying for a railed P226. The light sits in the same location for either pistol.

I assume since Ill be getting the light option it would be for a railed p226?

No it will not, the P229 slide is too thick.

Isn’t the 229 a compact version of the 226 much like G17/G19 ?

What type of holster?

The side width and profile is very different than a P228 or P226. The P229 was built for 40cal before they offered the 9mm version. That why the slide was beefed up over the P228. I have and have seen others buy P226 holsters for a P229 and It's not a proper fit at all.

Apparently the 9mm p226 legion and 9mm p229 legion are the same width in slide. Safariland, raven concealment and some other ones where shown fitting the p229 legion.

I was thinking regular P229, your right the legion P229 slide is different.
