Counter top field strip of the new SIG P250 proves on par with Glock, as a matter of fact, The purposeful take down lever makes it feel easier.

Class dismissed!

Modern pistol designs are becoming generic..

But on another note.., the SIG's polymer feels drastically different to a Glock's, has a weird brittle/ hollow feel.

Special mention to SIG's overall quality. Holster, mag pouches and the magazines all have a high end feel to them, very nice.

Wow! Thanks for the video.

I have the 239 on order and hope to have some pics and some video for you guys soon.

BTW, what is the trigger like on the 250? Have you had a chance to shoot it yet? That was my only reservation about this model, as the trigger is DAO and is a different design than anything else SIG has ever done. From what I could see of the trigger moving in your video, it looks like the travel is not that much. What is your impression of the trigger so far?

Also, what is your take on how the gun balances? Does it feel like it will fall forward if you loosened your grip, or does it sit down pretty well in the hand?

SIG Pro seems to have a pretty nice trigger and balances pretty well for a poly gun - from the shooting I have done with them. I'm wondering of this one is an improvement or what?

Looking forward to your analysis of the 239, that one is a looker alright.

The P250, like you know, is DAO and has about a 5.5-6lb. trigger pull. Haven't shot it yet but suspect the trigger may take some getting use to. I'm not sure on the exact weight of a CZ75's DA trigger pull but it feels about the same.

The Compact model is fitted with the medium grip configuration and is the most ergonomically correct pistol I've handled in my limited handling experience. All surfaces of your shooting hand fits into the natural contours of the grip.

With a loaded mag The overall balance feels pretty good, with just a slight bias towards the front, however, this probably wouldn't be if the magazine was loaded to its original 16 rnd capacity.

Size comparison of a P250 Compact & a Glock 26 Subcompact

Shooting the P250 today it became apparent the trigger will definitely need some getting use to. At 25 yards I couldn't see any holes appearing on my target at first, but eventually managaed a tight 5 shot group and thought I had the hang of it, but a few mags later I couldn't see where bullets were hitting again.

With the baby Glock I managed to shoot 3 shots into the same hole at 15 yards.. :dancingbanana:

So... my bad shooting aside, the new SIG P250 is touted as a 'revolutionary' pistol design in that it's modular.

Though it's not exactly a Lego gun, I did spot a

sign stamped on the plas*--polymer inside the receiver.

Essentially, the registered part of the pistol is the serial-numbered metal frame and fire control assembly. This enables the operator to customize their P250 to a frame and caliber size to suit their need, or in my case 'want', by simply dropping the metal frame & fire control assembly in.

Choices of frame size are full, compact, and subcompact. Calibers the P250 can be had in are 9mm, . 357 SIG, .40 S&W, and .45ACP

Is this the pistol design of the future like SIG saids? Let's see where it goes first..
