P320 Voluntary Trigger Upgrade

My greatest concern isn't with MD Charlton, it's with SIG USA's chosen course of action to address the issue.

There are less P320's in Canada in need of the "upgrade" than in one district of southern California. Why are we bothering to send tooling up north when we could have just replaced every single gun, free of charge, within the first month of the issue being identified? This six month lead time is absolutely ridiculous.

I’m considering not even participating in the VUP anymore... I’m officially sick of waiting.
It works great as is.

I'm beginning to lose faith.
The lack of updates from MD is also discouraging.
+1.
Big sig (and firearms fan) but have been waiting to have some custom work done (slide milling +\- cerakote) until the volunteer upgrade is installed.

No confirmation email, no periodic updates (?monthly) on progress in the forums or via email. I think maybe it’s time for a new hobby. With several notable exceptions, this sort of customer service seems to be the rule in the Canadian firearms industry. I really like my sigs, but I’ve been waiting for this ‘voluntary upgrade’ for longer than I got to enjoy my 320 before the recall, I mean upgrade, was announced. Has definitely taken the enjoyment out of what was my favorite pistol. Talk about poisoning the well...

This thread started last August.

Any news MDC?

Thanks for an update.

It was a complex process from start to finish and yes it has taken some time. We have followed it through very precisely to make sure nothing was missed and it would be done to spec and correctly. Tests are completed here at MD Charlton and it is done to spec. We are ready to go ahead with commercial upgrades. We are now compiling an upgrade list for commercial consumers and emails will go out shortly to everyone that registered. Thank you for your patience we are ready to move forward to complete the process.

I'm still enjoying my P320 lots...it's my main gun for IDPA actually...

That’s great news MDC and glad to hear people are still enjoying theirs. I have an apex tactical flat trigger blade I’ve been waiting to put in, as well as getting my slide milled and cerakote done. I probably should have gone ahead but decided to wait and have the voluntary trigger update done first.

Glad for the update and happy to hear this is moving along...

Thanks for the update MDC.

I'm sure you guys feel our frustration, and are probably pretty frustrated at having to deal with Sig's problem. It has taken too long, but getting it right is far more important.

Besides, I have still been shooting the heck out of mine, and just made sure I didn't drop it!!!
