P320 Voluntary Trigger Upgrade

Is this even worth the inconvenience?

I've heard so many mixed reviews so I'm on the fence about getting it done.

Once it's done there's no going back, right?

It’s actually fairly painless and the wait if you’re in the GTA should be minimal.

It’s still a great trigger, but it is different from stock. Do you know someone with an upgrade installed that you can test fire? It’s really a personal preference.

Yes, once it’s done it’s done.

I bought a P320 Nitron that has been upgraded by MD Charlton. I also have a P320 RX that was factory upgraded.
The upgrade did change the trigger and the two guns do not have exactly the same feel.
The upgrade is designed to correct a problem and it does that very well.
US and Canadian laws prevented us from sending our guns to Sig USA. It's a big deal.
I am happy with what Tim and Pete and the MD Charlton gang have done to my gun.
I shoot IPSC and 3 Gun with them. I highly recommend getting the work done.

The break is definitely different, with less stacking than what I felt before. I have a Gen1 P320, fwiw. I like that the trigger no longer does the 'double click' but it's a bit of an adjustment to get used to how much more I have to pull the slide back to recock the striker. The trigger upgrade requires that you pull the slide about 1/2 to 2/3 back before the striker is re-cocked when the earlier trigger barely needed to be moved at all. A minor thing, and not really an issue, just something I noticed.

I'm going to replace with the Apex trigger kit anyway, so yeah.

just got mine back...shipped to MDCharlton on a friday, they got it on a monday....and i just got it today, one week after they got it....but, would have been nice to get what the americans got with their upgrade...a sticker and a nice P320 patch, and a 25% off coupon....guess we aren't a big enough market to throw us a little something to say..."hey, sorry about that, and thanks for sticking with us thru this."

Well just got my email, Hopefully they have a good ultrasonic cleaner...lol this thing is caked...

Cant find any of my factory parts either...lol...

Recieved it back on Thursday but was out of town. Picked it up today...cant wait to try it. Would have been nice to receive "something " as a gesture like the owners down south.

Any easy and safe way to find out if my P320RX needs to be upgraded?

Heard there are a few that don't. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

BOTTOM = NEW

Received mine back today... I think I like the original trigger little a bit more...

It appears over-travel is shorter, which is a good thing. However, it doesn't break like a glass anymore... If I had the opportunity the check/try both, I would most likely stay with the original trigger...

I had the same issues with mine. Initially, the trigger was gritty and slow during live fire. A good cleaning, 3 L2 matches, another 1,000 rounds of practice and numerous evenings of dry fire later, I have to say that the trigger now functions just fine.

As far as being comped like our southern counterparts? Good luck.
