P320

Try a Delta point with an optional rear sight. I use that, my eye goes for the RS slot and the "dot" is there quickly. You can co witness with a tall FS too. it comes with time. I went through the same frustration with an earlier gun. Some never get used to the RDS but getting OLD is good motivation. :)

The one I used that had a RDS had the tall co-witnessed suppressor height sights with a Trijicon RMR. Is the Delta Point any better? Or similar?

After about 30 rounds, it got easier to see the dancing dot but without constant practice, I think it’s a perishable skill.

It's a personal thing. I have two DP's and really like the adjustable RS if you get one. I think they were about $45. Both are solid as rocks. I have a 7 moa DP on my rifle and use that in competition close quick targets get the whole Delta and the tip of the delta is for accuracy

It's a disease my friend but a happy one. Lots of really good friendship. As I write all the time, shooters are the cream of the crop in a lot of ways. Same in Texas as all my friends are shooters.

Health is slowing me down. I'm 75 and "Running and Gunning" with the kids is too hard on my old arthritic legs. But I loved 3gun. The AR and Shotgun are gone now but I still have seven pistols and upgraded the NightHawk o add features that make it a dream gun. I loved the P210 as well but it wasn't a good competition gun. So I bought a high end Tanfo in 40 to shoot major and use hi cap mags in the states. It's pretty hard to do well when you have 8 rounds and the other guys have 17-18-20. I can tell you that Canadians are much faster with the mag changes. :) Believe it or not, I have competed with guys 50 years younger. I'm always welcome and have lots of fun.

Find an IDPA club near you and climb back on the horse. No real running and gunning. We don't shoot for cars just five minutes of unrelenting "sandbagging adjectives" for the poor soul who happens to shoot the best that day. You have me by a couple of years but my body warranty ran out and went south 12 years ago but I still can manage a respectable score on our new Classifier thus ensuring me forever being last in my new classification. LOL

Still Alive is just a young pup compared to the geezer crowd. :>)

Take Care

Bob

Good luck and enjoy. You have a beautiful SIG collection. Don’t put a RDS on your 210, please!!

Thanks....and don't know if I could go that far lol. But a newer U.S. made version? ;)

Good stuff on staying an active shooter! Wish I could look ahead and see me still at it at 75, but the legs thing I hear ya on too already at times...ah well, keep on keeping on :) .

I tried IDPA a few years ago and didn't much like it. My knees find it very hard to bend at or around cover. The most fun for me is IPSC/USPSAbut the easiest physically is Steel Challenge. Our club down there has matches with up to eight stages and I can ride a golf cart in between or don't shoot. I've always been a fan of shooters as they have always made allowances for me. I can't kneel and prone is really difficult because I kill the clock getting up. One of my clubs just lets me shoot as I can a and I take procedurals which is OK by me.
