So I've been thinking... Is it time to give up to Walther, Baretta, and my 3rd gen RTF2 Glock for a shiny new P210 in stainless? Haven't been shooting for awhile so thinking a new toy will get the juices going. Besides, I really like the single stack setup and have always shot best with my Dan Wesson - if zombies came and I only have time to grab one gat, my 1911 would be it.

Thoughts? Is it worth it or am I being impulsively bored and nuts? Thx guys.

I honestly think thats a great idea! If the trio are collecting dust, you might as well sell them off to someone who will use them and buy yourself a new toy.

You can't go wrong with one really nice piece instead of 3 average pistols that are just collecting dust. I sold a p99 and x5 for a 210. I do miss the p99 a little as it is the perfect polymer frame gun imo, but the 210 is so unbelievably smooth with beautiful ergonomics and exceptional accuracy, I would do the same again in a heartbeat. once i bought the 210 i didn't want to shoot any other 9mm. I liked the 210 so much I have since acquired another.

And also just so you know, the 'stainless' looking p210 is a silver pvd coating, not stainless steel. Still looks nice, will be durable and I wouldn't let that sway you.

Interestingly, i think the super target version is a black nitron coated stainless steel

Why do you think it's a bad idea Lugger? I don't need 3 pistols really; agree with gdawg tho that the Bond gun would be the most difficult to part with... And I would have no other striker fired setup left.

Just fascinated by the 210 of late. Shot one owned by one of our local range rats and they are awesome.

Buy it. You will never look back

You can't go wrong with a P210 pistol; they are accurate, and just great fun to shoot! They are extremely well built and have a very durable finish. They also give a pride of ownership that some other pistols don't provide.:)

Do it! You can always get another G-17/M9 . And if the Walther bug bites you again get a PPQ (much better trigger than the P99 imo)

I've thought about doing similar myself as there is a good-enough deal to tempt me on a non-stainless P210 in the EE forum... if it's not sold yet. So tempting, but so expensive. And it's located in Vancouver too ;)

it is worth noting that the the latest shipment of 210s have gone up in price by at least a few hundred, so that one is becoming a better deal.

Beware the cost and availability of mags and other things for the Sig 210s though. I've been wanting one for years but I just haven't been able to justify the cost, or having to sell a couple other guns to get it. Every time I go into Calgary Shooting Center I have to look at their used Swiss ones and some of the new production ones as well.

Sig P210's are legendary and in a league of their own. However, I personally fail to see how getting rid of 3 fine pistols in exchange of the Sig, will revive your interest for shooting. You either enjoy the sport or you don't, no matter what type or quality level of your guns.

........just ask Norinco owners :)

Yeah u know what that was my reasoning as well. They're all great, but a Legend is... Wait for it.... -dary. :)

Thx guys. Gonna grab when I finds. Sometimes you just need a second opinion eh!

I was holding my breath as to which way you would go. Sounds like a good decision. Good luck! And post some pics up when you get the Sig.
