P99: inserting full 10-rd mag when in battery

Hey guess what, the Steyr M40-A1 doesn't have this problem :D

I had to post this as I thought it would (I thought 10-rnd pistols had it) but no... I load 10 in the mag, insert on closed slide and am able to chamber a round easily.

Woot!

had the same issue with glock 10rd mags. load them up full and let them sit when your not using the gun. let them sit for a couple weeks in between shooting sessions and they'll eventually loosen up.

I have the same problem with my Walther P99. AND I had the same Italian mags too (with the blue ramps). Those mags are horrible. One of them actually came apart (the floor plate broke off!!!) while i was shooting because it was cold and it just couldnt handle it.

But yeah, until i get a better mag brand, i load 9 rounds instead of 10. Peice o' crap.

the floor plate breaking is a common problem i believe on some p99's (i think it was a certain batch). it never happend to me but i read on some forums that if you called walther they would send you brand new mags. you should check on walther forums and im sure there is a thread on this issue.
