So I'm looking for a new pack to be used mostly while bowhunting. It will also be used for rifle moose hunting. I do mostly day trips but would like to try an overnight adventure hunt. I would like the pack to have the following features:
-Some sort of frame for packing quarters back to the truck
-hydration comparable
-able to attach bow and rifle to pack for hands free hiking
-not just top loading, I already have a tatonka lastenkraxe as a pack frame and I hate digging through it from the top to find something.
-lots of exterior pockets is a bonus
So I might be better off with a daypack and leaving my pack frame at the truck but I kind of want one pack that does it all.
Does anyone have experience with the MR metcalf? Is the day pack portion comfortable enough to wear by itself for all day hunts?
