It's not always bad new's from Mr. postman
This is what he bring me today to go with my surgeon action
- Kreiger SS 1:10 12 flutes 22 in once finished
- JP Enterprise MOR-07 tactical folding stock

BTW, this stock is AWESOME, it is built like a TANK

Looks wicked. And folding stock, I hated jamming full sized cases in the back of my jetta. Now I have an full sized rifle with a 21 3/4 barrel that could fit in a smart car. Love that folding stock man.

They now have 2 action, a round one with the top rail and recoil lug apart, like the remmy, and this one, the first they have built with the rail and lug machined WITH the action is the tactical. the reason the produce the remington type now is to be able to lower price, you can have for 766$USD while the tactical is listed around 1285$USD

At first, it was not supposed to be a folder, i was only looking for a aluminium stock but didn't like the rear portion of ANY, JP was the one i liked most and they list the folding as OPTION, i was so happy when i have opened the box... the hinge systeme is very strong, the only plastic part are stock and grip, even the top portion of the folding is aluminium.
No need for beding there, there is a king of WEDGE in front of the recoil lug, you unscrew the forearm (3 different to choose from) and you have access to the screw that push the lug against the rear portion of the block. all the screw are stainless.
Under the forearm, it is machined like a AI rifle, there is a big hole at the end of a slot, mabye for hand stop or something like that ??

With my 22in barrel, the whole kit, folded, will be just below 36in...

No, is not THAT hard, as for the stock and the barrel, just look at my controversial post about my surgeon action here... i won't say more, don't whant to wake-up this hopefully now dead post... If you need help, it will be a pleasure but in PM or E-mail only

My gunsmith will screw and chamber the barrel in August, no shop time before (to me it's good new's, that mean he have a lot of work)
after, i will cerakoat the rifle, my intention was OD green and black but i don't know how it will look with a black stock ? maybe all black then ?? it's hard to choose :runaway: IF I WHANT TO LET THE STOCK BLACK, any suggestion will be appreciated i'am OK with OD, COYOTE, GERY, EARTH and so color...

loll not Chery be sure, grey is the color, i'am looking on the net actually to see some different color and sample with black stock, i'am not sure if the paint will stick on the stock, it is black anodised, it is very tuff, i had to mill the recess for bolt release of the action and I'am far from sure that the paint will stick very well on this finish...

desert digital camo for the whole gun minus scope and bolt (in black) would look awesome
but then again there are so many movign parts on this gun, leaving it this way is fine too!

Thank's, i always do the bolt in BLACK, the trigger, safety and bottom metal too, because i BAKE them with cerakoat, this is the last R5 i have done, i have 11 R5 painted, people don't like the stainless on tactical i think !!!

i'am just far from sure if the stock of mine will be painted, as it is anodised and not sure if paint will stick, i'll do some test inside of the forearm i think...
