Briefly, how does it work? (I understand WHAT it does...)

@Fassteel: That 22 K-Hornet is one of the sweetest varminting rounds going IMO.

There's a cylinder with a hole on either end; place a .22 cartridge in one end, place a "forming rod" in the other end (, stand it up with the base of the cartridge touching a flat surface), and use a mallet to whack the forming-rod into the nose of the cartridge.

Bought the Calhoon from the EE, a fellow in Red Deer Alberta had it.

Paco tool is a great concept (as a matter of fact, Fassteel loaned me his a couple years ago, I ran up a few hundred rounds of various profiles for testing) but neither of my guns liked the ammo in terms of reliability. The ones that did chamber did a number on the squeaks, but the feeding problems just weren't worth it to me. I tend to have pretty good results with ammo out of the box, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to revisit the Paco tool down the line. Who knows... maybe it was just my technique that was lacking.

Man o man a guy with 50 years of shooting and loading experience only has 12 posts?
I think that in your advanced stages of life it might be better if I just Paco up some ammo for you. FS

Okay, okay, "whack" is a bit much ; I use a rubber-head mallet (the same one I use with the Lee handloading kits, to punch out boxer-primers ), when I form the cartridges with the Paco tool....
