does anyone here have experience with PACT chrony's not picking up shots fired?

Mine worked fine for the first month but now has issues, it only notices about 1 in 15 shots.

Is it a blue sky vs overcast/cloudy issue? Some chronies have problems with a blue sky.

Last 4 trips out four different types of day. No luck with any, checked the leads for connections and positioning, with/without shades, sun/ shade/rain etc. Registering one out of 15 sometimes none.
Fresh battery each time.
Getting fed up.
Had some electronic issues with the pact scale/dispenser as well they were quite willing to help get through it but couldn't completely solve issues with scale unit. Sold it and bought the big Lyman system, very happy now.

I have a older Pact professional, It has only failed to read when there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I covered the side with the sun and problem went away.

Give Pact a email and let them help you with the unit.

From what I have heard they are very good to deal with.

Mike,

Make sure the cables are not crossed and try and shoot lower through the window. I have had similar issues to yours. Shooting lower cures it most the time.

i am not sure bout an email address but i know for sure their phone number is in the owners manual. give them a call. i have always found them helpful.
