Added an M14s to my stable.

I want to build a sort of Crazy Horse clone. I like the simple USGI look.

Anyone happen to know what color the stock is or (even better) what paint can be used to get a close match?

Thanks much.

I'm pretty sure the stocks they use are unpainted USGI stocks. The stocks themselves were produced in a few different shades of brown. That being said... I repainted a beat up GI stock awhile ago and used krylon "espresso". Turned out really nice.

I asked that question myself over at the M14FL and this is the paint they said is the closest to the original USGI color

The paint I believe referred allready was made by Krylon,it is one of thier Camo colors and is instock usually during hunting season.
It is a dead ringer for the USGI brown .

I went with a brown paper bag color and I really like it. The USGI is more reddish tone

SEI does not paint the USGI synthetic stocks used with the Crazy Horse M21A5.

I am working on a similar build.
