what paint do you guys use to paint your AR's?

i got some parts metal and plastic that are OD / FDE that i would like black.

i bought some matte black speacialty camo paint that i used and it looks great. is clear coat needed to protect the matte finish?

I just used duracoat on my AR a couple days ago and the stuff is bomb. Easy to use and reasonably priced. Only problem is the paint chips dont match the end result exactly

cerakote is great for the metal but I would dye the plastic parts...

RIT clothing dye works best (just dye powder and hot water)

here is a Glock Roni conversion kit I dyed black (originally desert tan)

cool...ordered a bunch of larue stuff and they sent me tan / od instead of black.

i used some camo paint to refinish them but i doubt the finish will hold.

Arma-coat.ca, Canadian company and easy to apply. Very durable. I did mine w a Princess Auto paintgun, no need to bake but you can to speed up the curing. Lays on thin and strong to avoid interferance with hinges, magwells, etc. Works on plastic and metal
