For all of you bored artistic AR 15 shooters who have done, do it yourself spray bomb paint jobs. Show me some pics. I'm still feeling a little uneasy about taking my boredom to a new level.

If you want to paint your rifle then do it right and use a quality coating not a can of spray paint. Rattle can's only look good when they are fresh and need to be touched up continuously.

This is the cheapest I've seen for an everything you need kit but if you have a spray gun already you have other options.

Unless your talking about a Norinco, then go ahead and break out the crayons and finger paints.

Nothing wrong with spray paint. The finish can be changed for low cost and the worn paint shows you actually use your guns.

Do you also buy jeans that already have rips in them so they look worn ;)
I don't need a worn $6 paint job to make my guns look used, I know they actually get used.
If you do it right with quality coatings you don't need to touch it up after every range day.

I don't buy "distressed" clothing, you look poor or stupid wearing such sh*t. ;)

The more expensive coatings are both more expensive and permanent. Spray paint is a good way to test the waters and is cheaper and easier to repair/replace. Maybe its just me but I'm too busy looking at the target and my sights to notice the chipped finish. ;)

Agree. I spray painted my old Norc with Krylon and it developed a real cool look once the high friction areas started wearing and the paint aged a little. The higher end finishes are good too but I'm just fine with the cheap spray paint. Personal preference.

Does Cerakote count ? This was an experiment for fun. Gonna get re coated as soon as I come up with a plan. And yes the front sight is backwards.
