I got tired of looking at the dark blue paint on my CQ311 so I painted it with Matt black high temperature engine paint (Duplocolor ?).
I disassembled the rifle. Thoroughly degreased it, and then baked the finish on at 400F for 2 hours.
It looks awesome and appears to be quite durable (I’ve tried to scratch it a couple of times and it can be done but you’ve got to try) Also, my CLP isn’t taking the finish off.
I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it to a CQ.
