I have a stainless steel barreled action and would like to paint it flat black. I know theres lots of can products and do it yourself kits out there, can you recommend the best one?

Personally I'd prefer just to have it done somewhere so I don't screw it up lol (my artistic genes got lost in the mix) suggestions? If anyone does it professionally im in the GTA-ish area. Thanks in advance

It really isn't that hard to do yourself, however most of the best paint products require some investment in form of airbrushes, compressor and hoses, etc.

I have painted 3 barreled actions now. 2 flat black and one a big camo project. All using duracoat:

ceriksson thanks for posting the pics, looks awesome! I happen to have all the equipment compresors, airbrushes and hoses from past endeavours but wasn't sure what the margin for error was and if I was willing to take it on myself. Lots of options now, thanks for all the input fellas

I've found airbrushing to be very forgiving, especially with single colours.

Just use a wall of paper or newspaper to do test patches before spraying to get the coverage right.

I like to do a good few passes at a coverage range then finish it off at a further range for some textured spattering effect. easy to cover up any mistakes.

Arma-coat, dura-coat and cerakoat are all good options.
