YOu guys know anyone in Canada that could paint my Rifle. Ontario area would be better. Am I able to ship it by Canada Post?

it's a PEARCE action, 6BR.with a HS stock, Nighforce scope.

not sure exactly what colour to make it. Tan or Green interest me.

Thanks for your help.

DIY...with a few cans of Krylon and some patience.

Krylon is easy to use but is not durable as with any other spray paint from a can. You would be better off using Duracoat or something similar. Much more durable a easy to apply.

Not sure if i'd feel comfortable shipping my rig anywhere to someone else just to have it painted. This is definitely one of those DIY projects.

yeah I was thinking about Duracoat. But never thought of doing it my self. I think I will do it that way then. Just buy a nice small spray kit. Have a couple remington 700's I can practice on first. Thank you for the help.

Do you have an air compressor??? if so use duracoat with a spray gun.
Just be careful and take all the small parts off you gun before you spray. Or they will be glued in place when the paint drys. Also be sure to tape up your scope properly and NEVER bake your scope!

Dura coat will stick to any thing even stainless steel. Just make sure you wear gloves and wipe down every thing with acetone before and let dry.

Kevin, contact "murdoc" here on the board ... he painted my SigArms .223 rifle and scope in OD green, my Mossberg Maverick 88 in woodland-type camo ... he is in Edmonton and I shipped my rifles to him thru Cdn North Cargo as they delivered them to him. If you want to do a DIY project ... I wouldn't ... send it to Todder McKay here in Skankin as he has an airbrush and compressor that he uses on his remote controlled aircraft ... ;)

p.s. if you go the Todder root ... he and I will have to test fire it for you after it's done being painted to make sure it holds up ... ;);) HAHA. Cheers bro ... :p
