Painting synthetic stock

No matter how well you prep, the sharp edges, high area will wear and chip faster than you can imagine.

Spray can finishes look good the first day, then they are just a value reducing liability after that.

....
Get it cerakoted by a professional lol

Dumb question, but can synthetic stocks be cerakoted? I thought Cerakote (like powdercoat) needed to be baked at a high temperature which I assumed wouldn't be ok for a plastic/synthetic stock

Appreciate all the feedback fellas

Im not gonna either overthink or overpay on things.....

Going to dismount one of the 4 Rugers ...clean it up with breakclean....rough it up a tad with sandpaper .....lay a flat white base colour ....let it harden up/offgas....then lay a couple of irregular patterns of flat grey and black ....let those harden/offgas ....going to hold off clearcoating it to see how it holds up....can then touch it up wherever it chips or doesnt take as well.....

May not clearcoat it at all so i can continually touch it up as it degrades.
Couldnt care less about its ### appeal....just want it something other than dirt and a lil cooler more unique than oem
