Thanks bud... LOL

That's my "Fall" pattern. Just did it in about 20 minutes one afternoon using piles of dead grass and branches laid on top of the stock in layers. Pretty easy.

Oh, one thought on paint jobs. Don't you just redo them a couple of times a year anyways? I mean, you need different colours and such for the seasons, so who gives a crap if some of it chips off? I mean, you can just slap some more paint on it.

M14Doctor - Funny, I did all the bashed up parts of my Jeep TJ tub in Krylon as well. Still holding up 2 years later!

true.. thats why i dont clearcoat it..

i've used the branches and leaves before as well.. i think my next attempt is going to be skull camo.. i'm going to practice on an old 22..

i'ts not a big deal to touch up or redo if i feel like it.. plus the chips give it character.. my Norc is my "working" gun.. its probably seen more "bush" than me and you have combined (before women started shaving.):D

OK.. To much information :D

Yeah, I don't see the value in clearcoating it either if you're just gonna go bash through the woods with it. Mind you, the "Mirror Commando" types might want something more durable

Wanting to do a nice job of something and make it last doesn't make you a mirror comando. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in your work and wanting to have nice things.

Now.. WHO said YOU were a mirror commando?? :D :p

I don't disagree that making things look nice and purty is fine, I was just poking fun there bud.

If it's a one time thing and you don't beat the crap outta your rifle like I do, then it will last a while. Personally, I just hit the "do over" button on the spray can a couple of times a year. :)

Peace out.
