Nothing against shiny, still can look pretty cool. Just not shiny camo (oximoron)

Have I struck a nerve?
For sure not my cup of tea, way too pretty = mall camo. It looks like it would fit in in a mall more than on a firing line.
BUT, very high tech and accurate! Therefore, in my opinion cool. Just because I need to have sun glasses on to look at doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the work that went into it and the accuracy it is capable of.
Enough about me, still waiting to see the finished product. An accurate rifle painted in FLAT tactical colors. That means that I have upped the anti due to delays. No longer will it suffice to show your rifle! Now we want to see some targets you have shot with the gun as well.
Waiting....................

Zimbu...that's WICKED...with a capitol WICK!!...if you pull that scope OFF that gun...and left it in that tree, turned around three times.....you wouldn't find it again till spring!!...Niiiice Work!!

Did you airbrush it or paint brush it on and did you satin(gloss)clear coat it to make it more durable ??...Thankx for sharing!!

Damn nice job. I always like to see the personal touch as apposed to "professionally produced" stuff. That just comes down to money. No slight to that method. I just like to see how creative people can be.

It took me maybe four evenings to complete, one of which was with the paint brushes. I started with a good coat of epoxy primer. I had some problems with the flat white Krylon cracking so I had to sand it down and try again with thinner coats. I've never had problems with Krylon before, but the coverage of the white was very poor so I probably put too much on at once. The branches were painted on with a $17 brush assortment (suitable for acrylic) from the craft store. I used desert sand, black, white, and red Krylon sprayed into a cup in varying ratios, followed by a clearcoat. I was planning to use Endura or automotive Dupont clearcoat for durability, but I got lazy and spraybombed the satin clear too.

Thanks for the kind words all.
