PAL Application proof attachment question

Hello everyone,

I've finally received by mail my CFSC certificate by mail and can't wait to get my hands on a PAL.

This might be a dumb question but along with the form am I supposed to mail my card or simply a photocopy of it? The letter did not contain any other documents other than a certificate in a card version.

I got a form from my instructors rather than a card. It probably doesn't matter - all the Canadian Firearms Center requires is proof that you passed the course.

I sent a photocopy. Never send originals to the government, unless they specifically say that it HAS to be the original (e.g. original birth certificate when applying for passport by mail).

These are exciting times, my friend! Your PAL is only 2-5 months away...

PS. I would also photocopy the signed PAL application form. It is a pain to gather that stuff up again if the CFC or Canada Post lose your application...
