PAL Fees

A friend called me up today and asked a question that I didn't know the answer to.

He's currently applying for a PAL with Restricted and wants to know if he has to pay the $80. He had an expired PAL (about 7 years ago or something like that) and put the FAC number on the form.

His girlfriend has an expired POL (or so she said) and is applying for PAL, does she need to pay the $60?

Expired POL to non-restricted PAL - no fee as far as I know.

PAL to RPAL - eighty bucks (and yes, even if you already paid the sixty bucks, like me...)

You misunderstood, HE doesn't have a PAL, he's applying for one for the first time. He has a 7 year expired FAC is all and wants to know if he has to pay.

My recent (month old) PAL upgrade application still states I need to pay.

The CFC stated I need to pay.

I'll send the $80 check, if they don't need it, they can send it back.

NM, read above post wrong.

But as what has been mentioned no fee to upgrade from PAL to RPAL. But there is a fee to renew to PAL from FAC so I have been told.
