Hello,

I applied for my PAL in December, and according to CFC website the application was received on the 19th.

The online status shows that it has completed initial processing and is now "in progress".

My references have not received a call yet, so I gave CFC a call to check the status and was told I'm not in the system yet (however the website says I am).

Day #28 is January 16.

Does it usually take this long for them to contact your references? Should I wait till 28 days has elapsed till I try calling them again?

Thanks,
Anton

Mine (along with 3 other guys) applications were received by them on the 24th of NOVEMBER and still says "in progress" on all of ours. Finally we were all told it could take up to 3 MONTHS for licenses to be processed fully due to falling behind in the christmas season.

Hi guys. Is there a way to log on on the cfc website to check on the progress of your application? I can't find the right button to click if there is. Any help is appreciated.

28 days is the statutory minimum; they may take longer, and they have, on occasion, taken six months or more.

45 days

mine took just about 45 days door to door and they called one of my references. if it still says in progress after 28 day waiting period give them a call and check to see if they are missing some info etc. the wait sucks though.
:ar15:

Mine says received on the 16th and is currently "in progress" mine may take longer though because it's a PAL/RPAL.

Yes they "normally" take 1 month to 45 days, but like I said before. The CFC has told people on numerous occasions that the wait times might be up to 3 months due to being back logged.

My father and I both sent ours in at the same time. I got mine about a month ago, he is still waiting for his to finish processing. My references were called. His have not been yet.

The 28 days is a waiting period they don't do anything with you application until that is over. They called my references on day 29 than it was approve a couple of days later.
