PAL rated Springer & Iron Sights. Suggestions?

Any suggestions for a PAL rated Springer with steel irons sights around $300? Not interested in scoping it.
Considered the Benji 392/397 but all that pumping!

The Slavia 634 seems to fit the bill (hooded metal front not sure about the rear) but don't seem to be readily available.
I like the quality of the Diana's but not their plastic sights. Weihrauch makes a couple too but a little out of my (want to pay) price range as the Diana's.
I know I know...pay once, cry once.

Looking for an informal plinker out to ~35yrds that I don't have to be too loving with. I have my powder burners for longer distances.

Weihrauch or Diana, probably used for that budget and it would be "pre-dinged" if you don't want to be too fussy with it. Not a bad idea as I hate the inevitable damage to the pristine new rifle, I do it every time...
I have a HW80K and HW77K, not for sale though.

The HW77K is the one! Unfortunately, way more than I want to spend.
Was planning to go to Gagnon's to have a look at the Slavia 630 but I'm thinking it may be under-powered being non-pal. At 495fps, is it ok for plinking out to 40yrds?
May just keep an eye on the EE.....
 
I would post a pic of mine with its incredible laminate stock but can't seem to do attachments on here...
You might be pushing it 40 yards non PAL. One option is to buy something non PAL for which you can get a higher power tune kit, which would give you a nicer springer in any case.
Edit: Note the rear sight on the 77 is mounted in the dovetail so can creep a bit if it's not tight. Mine is scoped now so not a problem but might be an issue if you want to keep open sights.

For your price - range and criteria, definitely go with the Weihrauch HW30 ! Fantastic air rifle with superb craftsmanship and the iron sights are great! Many combination choices come standard with the rear and front sights. The Rekord trigger is my favourite. You'd be hard - pressed to find a similar trigger in another springer.
 
I was looking at a HW50s last fall. I'm sure I would have been very happy with it but when I checked 2 weeks later the price jumped almost $100! That killed the deal......
 
The more recent crop of 392s and 397s have developed a reputation for spotty barrel QC. Large bore diameter, bell mouthed. Have one that a friend bought new and gifted to me 4 years ago. I cleaned the paint out of the muzzle but that one has quality issues, too. Sad, I don't mind pumping but can't recommend those rifles.

Well....I went thru 2 Webley&Scott Patriots.

The first one shot decent but I discovered a trigger problem that prompted the AG to be replaced by a new one. The replacement developed a cracked forestock after 3 rounds. I also noticed a slight bulge in the barrel. I lost confidence in the QC of these Hatsan made AG's and was offered a refund.

2 things I did not want was a synthetic stock and Made in China. However, I decided to take a chance on a .177 Stoeger x50 (synthetic stock & Made in China). This AG is a beast rated at 1500fps (yah right!). Has an OAL length of 50" @ 10+lbs scoped with a 3x-9 AO/one piece mount. The stock is solid without the hollow sound and the QC is not typical of Made in China (ie. Norinco). It has a 2-stage trigger but the second stage is too long IMO.

It's my understanding that these magnum AG's like heavier pellets. I've been using Crosman 10.5g piranhas and getting decent groups. I'm new to shooting springers but here's a pic of 10rnds at 15yrds. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do once the weather gets better.....

That looks like a keeper, good group. There are heavier .177 pellets out there and once you get to try it out to 50yds you may want to check them out.Congradulations.
 
I looked at the Diana 48 Black. Almost bought one. My next AG will be a fixed barrel side or under lever.

I'm getting the Stoeger x50 "tuned" (de-bur & lube), re-crowned, spring sleeve and cleaning up the trigger (2nd stage is too long IMO).
Looking to remove the irons and installing a better looking muzzle sleeve/brake and planning on getting it chrony'd to see which heavy pellet(s) it likes. Just ordered 1250 brown box Crosman 10.5g HP's.

I'm finding AG's can be as addictive as the powder burners.....
 
Thanks but I have to add that I rested the AG on the bag shown in the pics. This thing is pretty heavy and there's no way I could have held it up for 10rnds and get similar results.
I've read that springers don't like to be rested on a hard surface and perform better using the "artillery hold". My AG doesn't seem to be too hold sensitive.

It's only seen 300+ pellets but so far has exceeded my expectations...

If you were free handing it I would be especially impressed, any way you can find to get the good groups allows you to feel confident in your equipment and then after that when you miss its all your own fault lol.
