Hi guys, I have a question. My dad is looking to get his PAL for the first time. And he wants to know in five years from now does he have to pay again to get his PAL renewed?

Right now renewals are free.

In 5 years? Who knows. If the CPC hangs onto the reins, than likely no. If the idiots manage to weasel their way back into power, then it could be anywhere from $0 - $1,000.00 to renew. Prior to the renewal fee being waived, the cost would have been the same as the initial application, ie. $60 or $80 (PAL or RPAL respectively), or approximately $1.00 - $1.33 per month, to put it into perspective...
